WikiEducator

WikiEducator is the educational Wiki of the Commonwealth of Learning. WikiEducator is a showcase of using MediaWiki in an educational setting.

The WikiEducator environment

Extensions have been developed for WikiEducator an example of this is the development of LiquidThreads has been further developed after the GSOC start.

Special of this environment was that many of the extensions are not available in any code repository system. This makes it hard for the Wikiation installer to install. Form many of the extensions it is true that the PHP code is available as text in a Wiki. Creating the WikiEducatior environment is a great opportunity to ask the developers to bring their code in the Wikimedia SVN. The advantage is that the link to translatewiki.net is quite straight forward.

• WikiEducator makes use of googleAnalytics you need to get yourself a profile for it to function.
• The latest version of LiquidThreads is broken. It does not allow you to reply.
