Naive extension installer

From MediaWiki extension testing
Jump to: navigation, search

The naive extension installer expects that an extension can be installed and fulfils the most basic requirements; it registers the extension and puts it in its own directory. The naive installer will not be called when the extension is supported by the Configure extension and when there is a script to do the installation.

The purpose of the naive installer is to prevent the need of a long list of programs that only differ in a few parameters. The extension installer uses the naive installer when there is no scripted installer available.

History

The naive installer was used in our first large-scale test: Naive test of februari 26 2009
