End coorporation with open stichting open progress
Bernard Hulsman (Wikiation) discontinued his cooperation with Gerard Meijssen and Kim Bruning with regards to the Wikiation Extension Testing Environment (WETE) on May 1st, 2009.
When Gerard entered this project, his role was to mentor Kim Bruning. During the past months, Gerard assumed the role of project manager. Bernard noticed problems were arising in the cooperation with Gerard, and he tried to improve the working processes by organizing a team building day on April 8th, 2009. Despite these efforts, the differences of opinion between Bernard and Gerard turned out to be unsurmountable.
Wikiation's views are:
- Wikiation wants to test extensions definitively. If the result of the test is positive, the extension can work in any environment with any extension that also tested positive. No additional testing is needed. Of course the required preconditions needed for the extensions should be taken into account.
- The WETE should be able to test wikis from outside the server. So no access to the server is required: Access only to the wiki is sufficient. This is needed for testing a production wiki in a closed environment.
Gerard Meijssen could not agree with these views. Furthermore, there was a difference in interests.
Kim Bruning sees Gerard Meijssen as his projectmanager. So there was no control anymore about what Kim Bruning could build. In the past it showed clear working with Kim Bruning is not possible without a mentor. So there is also and end with working Kim Bruning working for Wikiation on Wikiation Extension Testing Environment (WETE).
Development of the WETE will not end here, but there are no details yet as to how it will continue. Wikiation will inform those involved when the time is right.
